Finding the Right Overnight Softball Camp

Softball Clinic - Girl At Bat

We’re happy you’ve already made the decision to join Revolution Softball Camps at some point this summer, but have you still not signed up yet? If not, what’s the hold up?

Lots of times, it just takes families a little time to figure out which type of camp offering works best given their particular situation. Depending on what exactly you’re looking for, there are four different kinds of softball camps to choose from: overnight, extended day, day and team camps.

To learn more about each of these offerings a little more in depth, check out this earlier blog post.

However, if you’ve arrived here looking for more details about overnight softball camps in hopes that you’ll find the right one to sign up for, then you’ve come to the right place!

Here are four things you need to know about overnight softball camps to make sure it’s the right fit for you and your family this summer.

OK with Time Commitment

Of all the softball camps we offer each summer, overnight softball camps are the ones that have the biggest time commitment.

Obviously, an overnight camp means you’ll be spending a few days away from home and staying on campus throughout the night. This is the full camp experience, which includes room and board, meals and a full week of softball and evening activities.

You’d be checking in between 12-1pm on the first day and checking out at 12p on the final day, and a typical day can run from about 9am to 10pm.

Price

Since overnight camps have the largest time commitment for players and they’ll need to be using camp facilities on a 24-hour basis, the price is typically the most expensive of all the offerings we have available.

Let’s use the Cate Sports Academy in Carpinteria, California as an example. This summer, they’ll be offering overnight, extended day and day camps from July 31 through August 4. Of those three options, the overnight offering is the most expensive one, at $695.

Each camp price could be slightly different depending on where it’s being offered and the time of year, so it’s important to look at each camp specifically to know what the prices are.

Locations

We offer a number of Revolution Softball Camps each summer, but they are currently offered in six different states across the country.

Those states include California, Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey and Virginia.

Dates

Another thing to consider is when the particular camp you’re interested in is being offered. Let’s use Connecticut as an example because they have three offerings this summer – in Avon, Danbury and Farifield.

Each of these three offerings are at different dates throughout July, so it’s up to you to find the right one that fits what you’re looking for, and that also fits your schedule.
